Teenager to appear in court after pointing gun at officer

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence after threatening a police officer with a gun.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence after threatening a police officer with a gun. The teenager will appear at Bromley MagistratesÂ’ Court on Tuesday (February 6). On January 21, two officers on routine patrol in Lewisham attempted to stop a man on Longbridge Way. The 17-year-old is accused of pointing a firearm at one of the officers before running off. The teenager was arrested along with another 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl on suspicion of possession of a firearm. A weapon was recovered and examined by specialist officers. His two associates were released under investigation last Monday (January 29), according to the Metropolitan Police Service.
