ClearView’s PaceNet video interview recording systems are now being used by over 30 UK police forces for suspect and witness interviews.

The PaceNet system records DVD video discs which may be played on ‘high street’ DVD players.

The interview recordings may also be saved on a secure server for subsequent replay, annotation or transcription over the network. Network replay and transcription saves time and cost since discs no longer need to be physically transported.

The technology also offers advantages including the ability to link the word transcript document to the recorded footage. Interviews may also be searched for specific words. For example, a user can enter the search words ‘Fred Bloggs knife’, and all interviews where these words were mentioned will be found and presented to the officer in seconds.
