Officer airlifted to hospital after van crash

An officer has been seriously injured following a collision with a van in Powys.

An officer has been seriously injured following a collision with a van in Powys. The Dyfed-Powys Police officer was driving an unmarked police vehicle when it collided with the van on the A470 between Builth Wells and Llyswen on Thursday (November 9). The officer was airlifted to hospital where they remain in a serious condition. The van driver was also taken to hospital for treatment. A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “We would like to thank everyone who has expressed kind thoughts and messages for the injured police officer.”
