Linden Specialist Vehicles has introduced a new service that will significantly reduce the cost of mounting covert surveillance operations in a wide range of environments.

It provides rapid access, on a daily rental basis, to vehicles equipped with the latest surveillance technology, including cameras, digital transmission links and DVRs, enabling unmanned monitoring operations to be deployed at short notice across the UK.

Alternatively, Linden can fit out customers’ own vehicles with specific surveillance technology to meet any requirement.

These specialist vehicles can be rapidly deployed to provide unmanned monitoring in any location. They are equipped with multiple pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) pinhole cameras that have been concealed in a wide range of undetectable locations including wing mirrors, headlight units, baby seats and headrests.

According to Linden Specialist Vehicles, this new service will significantly reduce the risk to personnel engaged surveillance operations as well as delivering significant cost savings.

“Vehicles can be provided at short notice on a rental basis for unmanned surveillance applications in a wide range of environments,” said a spokesman.

Evidential quality images can be transmitted over COFDM links to remote locations up to ten kilometres away. Line of sight is not required, making transmissions immune to the effects of multi-path interference. Alternatively, using GSM transmission, images can be viewed at any location throughout the world 24 hours a day. Battery power gives up to seven days of unattended recording and transmission.
