KBR named as delivery partner for Transforming Forensics Program

The Government has chosen KBR as its delivery partner to assist with the design and mobilisation of the Transforming Forensics programme. Over the next two years, KBR will work as an integral part of the programme team to refine the most appropriate resourcing structure, so it can achieve its goal of creating a world-class level of delivery, training, support and evidence provision across the UK. The company – a global provider of complex programme management, operational logistics and support services – has been awarded a two-year contract to enhance the forensics capabilities across the English and Welsh forces. The Transforming Forensics programme is the latest in a series of major contracts awarded to KBR in UK law enforcement, including the coordination of the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme rollout and integrating the Metropolitan Police Service`s facilities management. Jay Ibrahim, president of KBR EMEA, said: “KBR is excited to be part of this once in a generation opportunity which will see a step change in capability and the way police forces manage and deliver forensic services. “We look forward to working as part of a fully integrated team in the delivery of this significant program of work.” An interim programme management team has already been established, comprising of personnel from policing, the Home Office and other contractors. KBR will now join this team and assist in the programme management, procurement activities, risk/issue management and stakeholder engagement.
