The analytical software company, i2, has unveiled the latest major upgrade to its established suite of analytical tools.

i2 Analysis Suite 7 combines improved time-saving capabilities and visual enhancements to the software suite that currently serves police analysts worldwide.

The upgrade has been developed to meet the demands of analysts and researchers, as well as the needs of those who use the finished analytical product, offering significant usability and analysis developments, providing increased support for enterprise deployments, improvements to performance and introducing support for distributed analytical workgroups.

“The need for accurate, real-time intelligence is becoming increasingly important in today’s world,” said Paul Holroyd, i2 general manager.

“The biggest problem facing analysts and investigators is the volume of multi-formatted data they receive, from a variety of sources. i2’s Analysis Suite 7 combines significant usability, with visualisation and analysis enhancements.”

The software includes:

  • New data access capabilities, including importing large volumes of disparate data.
  • Closer integration with existing i2 products, both in terms of the new suite and maintaining value in previous purchases.
  • Improved responsiveness, performance and scalability, saving time and effort for analysts and investigators in their task, as well as for those utilising the end analysis product.

“Analysis Suite 7 also allows analysts to share the information they find more effectively, with simple but effective changes to the look of the charts, including more than 200 new icons, the ability to import languages and shade icons to enhance real-world representation,” added Mr Holroyd.
