Former PC Jade Ebanks was charged with five counts of rape last month and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (May 31).

The offences are reported to have occurred between 2018 and 2020 in Ealing and Hillingdon and involved the same victim.

Ebanks joined the MPS in June 2021 and was attached to North West BCU before he resigned on Friday April 21 this year.

The MPS said he was arrested in May last year as part of an investigation by officers from the South West Public Protection Unit and suspended from duty.
