Nine men and two women, aged between 21 and 72 years old, were arrested on Thursday morning (May 26) under the Terrorism Act in Omagh and Coalisland.

They have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Musgrave where they are currently being questioned by detectives.

The PSNI said the arrests were part of a “significant search and arrest operation” carried out by detectives from its Major Investigation Team.

Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell was critically injured after being shot a number of times at a sports centre in Omagh in February.
