DCC in gross misconduct hearing over bullying allegations

A senior officer will face a gross misconduct hearing over claims that he bullied colleagues. Matthew Horne will be questioned over three allegations that he verbally and physically abused fellow officers while serving as deputy chief constable of Essex Police. Mr Horne – currently on secondment as deputy director general of the National Crime Agency – was found to have no case to answer regarding a fourth allegation. The Independent Police Complaints Commission said Essex Police will hold a gross misconduct hearing in due course.
