Cow in boot driver found
Officers have traced a motorist who apparently transported a live cow in the back of their car.
South Wales Police launched an investigation after images shared on social media last month appeared to show a cow in the back of a Volkswagen Passat on the M4.
The driver has now been found and officers are examining whether road traffic or animal welfare offences were committed.
The RSPCA expressed concerns over the image, describing the driver’s actions as “completely unacceptable”.
A spokesperson said: “This represents an animal welfare concern but also a risk to the safety of the driver and other road users.
“We would strongly urge people never to transport an animal like this.”
