Capita Secure Digital Solutions is the latest company to be approved by the East Midlands Strategic Commercial Unit (EMSCU) for inclusion on the UK’s first national body-worn video (BWV) framework, which offers police forces across the country a range of pre-approved BWV suppliers for faster, more cost-effective and efficient procurement of solutions.

Capita has been approved for lot three, ‘BWV storage management software’, which comprises a catalogue of fixed-price software that oversees the storage of evidence, and lot four, ‘full BWV solution’, which allows suppliers to compete to provide solutions that are tailored to clients’ specific needs.

Capita’s EvidenceWorks digital evidence management solution is already supplied to around 20 UK police forces.

Paul Whitehall, commercial officer at the EMSCU, said: “This framework will be hugely beneficial to police forces across the country, offering them reliable, pre-approved solutions that deliver best value for money.”
