Airwave has been selected as a supplier of Lot 6, mobile voice and data services, for the new Crown Commercial Service Network Services framework.

This will replace existing and legacy agreements, including public services network (PSN) connectivity, PSN services frameworks and telephony services.

John Lewis, Airwave’s chief operating officer, said they were delighted their bid for Lot 6 had been successful, adding: “The Airwave team has done a great job in securing this framework. It creates a fantastic opportunity to talk to our customers about a much richer offering across their mobile communications portfolio.”

Mobile voice and data services will include voice calls, SMS, voicemail services, mobile data connectivity, mobile email services, mobile data applications, value-added mobile services and mobile device management.

The duration of the agreement is two years with the option to extend up to an additional two years.

The Network Services agreement is divided into ten lots comprising data access services, local connectivity services, traditional telephony services, inbound telephony services, IP telephony services, mobile voice and data services, paging services, video conferencing services, audio conferencing services and integrated communications.

The Network Services agreement provides users with continued access to networks and telecommunications services, including PSN compliant services. It will deliver savings and flexibility for publicly-funded organistions, while ensuring compliance with the wider government technology strategy through the Government Digital Service.
