Our Intelligence Directorate collects, records and enhances intelligence to build a comprehensive picture of what is happening. As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you’ll lead and contribute to complex and wide-ranging analysis that supports the organisation’s mission. Managing the negotiation, authorisation, production, quality assurance and dissemination of intelligence products, you’ll play a key part in our decision-making. You’ll also help shape the future of the department, finding new and innovative ways to improve our analytical functions across the board, while promoting good practice and specialist expertise in analysis.
You may also be expected to work directly or indirectly in tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse. This may involve exposure to child sexual abuse images and material, so please consider the sensitive nature of our work before deciding to apply.
You’ll bring experience of supervising intelligence analysis within law enforcement, defence or national security, along with the ability to communicate the results to influence decision making.
With formal intelligence analysis training, such as NIAT, GIAT or DIAM, you should also hold Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation or be able to provide evidence of the equivalent experience you’ve gained within the last 4 years. This must include substantial knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, and a good understanding of data management, including risk identification, assessment and management, within law enforcement, defence or national security.
Ideally, you’ll also hold IPP Supervisor accreditation.
