The Police Service Commission is seeking to recruit suitably qualified Trinidad and Tobago nationals* to fill the offices of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Ministry of National Security.


The Deputy Commissioner of Police assists the Commissioner of Police in charting the strategic direction of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). Work is performed under the general direction of the Commissioner of Police; and the employee exercises initiative, innovativeness, discretion and independent judgment, in accordance with existing principles, policies and legislation.


Training as evidenced by the possession of a Master’s Degree from a University recognised by the Ministry responsible for Higher Education in any of the following: Law, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Police Service Management or any other relevant degree; and no less than 10 years’ experience of increasing responsibility in law enforcement.
