The Chief Constable is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced senior police officers who have the passion to serve the diverse communities of Greater Manchester and who have the drive and enthusiasm to deliver efficient, high levels of performance. This career opportunity is open to exceptional Chief Inspectors/Detective Chief Inspectors looking to transfer on promotion.
GMP is currently undergoing the largest IT transformation project the force has ever seen to create a truly integrated system that will place GMP at the forefront of technology within the UK policing sector, enabling the force to provide the best possible services to the communities of Greater Manchester.
GMP needs Superintendents who can instil trust and confidence in officers, teams, partners and the wider community. As a Superintendent you will need to contribute to the development of culture, climate and working processes in your area to ensure adherence to standards, and the promotion of accountability and continuous improvement. You will be able to lead in a complex and challenging environment.
The successful applicants will work alongside the force leadership team to make GMP a better organisation, both in the way we treat each other and in the service we deliver to the public based on the 5 principles of the force’s Target Operating Model (TOM).
You will be a motivated senior officer who is resilient, able to deal with complex and often competing demands. You will have a proven track record of driving significant change at a strategic level.
