Durham redundancy warning
29 Jul 2010

Durham Constabulary has issued redundancy warnings to all police staff as it plans to make cuts to budgets.

All 1,160 members of police staff have received the notices as the force looks to reduce the workforce by about 200 posts.

The chairman of Durham Police Authority said the notices were issued in light of cuts expected to be made as part of the Government’s public spending reductions.
