Financial Crime Detective Constables
£34430 to £55321 40 hours per week
States of Jersey Police
Applications are sought from experienced financial crime investigators at Detective Constable rank to join the States of Jersey Police. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of investigating complex fraud as well as strong working knowledge and experience of the Proceeds of Crime Act and related UK money laundering and forfeiture/ confiscation legislation and practice.
It is currently anticipated that successful applicants may be initially deployed to a new Economic Crime and Confiscation Unit (ECCU) being established by the Island’s Attorney General, but that after a period of around 2-3 years opportunity may arise for rotation with officers from the Joint Financial Crimes Unit (JFCU) within States of Jersey Police.
The JFCU is composed of both Police and Customs and Immigration personnel, and encompasses the Island’s Financial Intelligence Unit, drug trafficking confiscation and serious fraud investigation functions; it is separate to the new ECCU but will be working closely in tandem with it.
Application forms and further information are available from the website below.
Closing date for applications is Friday 22nd September 2017.
Deadline for application: 22/09/2017
