This is an excellent opportunity to be a key part of a specialised team of highly trained and experienced officers and staff supporting the work Protective Services Crime.
We are looking for candidates who will be highly motivated and suitably qualified with the skills and experience required to meet the demands and challenges of this role. You will be expected to undertake the role of the Senior Investigating Officer or Deputy Senior Investigating Officer on major enquiries and investigate serious crime or other critical incidents.
We are looking for a leader with evidence of serious crime management and investigation, as well as a detailed knowledge of criminal law and RIPA authorities.
This exciting position offers you the opportunity to join one of the most forward thinking Police Forces in the country.
Applications are welcome from substantive Inspectors wishing to undertake a level transfer to West Yorkshire Police to the position of Detective Inspector Protective Services Crime. Within this generic role you may be required to work in any area of Protective Services Crime including Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, Serious and Organised Crime and Firearm Prevention Team.
