Hampshire Constabulary

New challenges await Police Constables in Hampshire Constabulary's Investigation Teams!

Hampshire Constabulary is now recruiting Police Constables to join our Investigation teams, those who have the motivation, skills and personal drive will be supported to become Detectives through the ICIDP. Officers who already hold the National Investigators Exam, will be supported through to completion of ICIDP.

We are a large force with a police family culture where officers and staff are held in high regard. We are committed to valuing and supporting our staff and the professional development of our officers. Hampshire Constabulary offers a wide variety of opportunities for Constables within investigations including reactive and proactive crime teams, public protection, serious organised crime and for specialist interviewers. Whilst we recognise not all Constables want to progress into the ICIDP, for those that do, we are currently providing study aids, crammer courses and study leave for those wanting to take the NIE. You will then be supported onto and through the ICIDP.

The Chief Constable is also committed to regular promotion opportunities for those aspiring to be the future leaders.

Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are excellent places to live and work. There is good access to London, the South Coast and the New Forest. Our main Police Investigation Centres are in Basingstoke, Southampton and Portsmouth.

In order to apply you must have over 2 years service at Constable Rank and be able to evidence a suitable level of investigation against the competencies. Successful applicants must be able to join a bespoke 3 week induction course starting 17th July 2017.

Interview boards will be held week commencing 10th April 2017. Successful applicants will have to pass a medical screening, vetting and a fitness test.
