For the best Detectives, we need the best Trainers

To protect a huge and vibrant city, our team must be trained to the highest level. That means equipping Detectives with outstanding investigative skills. We already have excellent Coaches in place to teach Trainee Detectives. We now need an Investigative Coach Supervisor to help these Coaches do their best. It’s a chance to see your knowledge passed on and benefitting others: Coaches, our Detectives, and ultimately, Londoners.

An experienced Detective or an Investigative expert, you’ll join us in a new and critical role. Your aim is to support the Coaches who teach our Detectives the latest investigative techniques. You’ll supervise the team, boost their knowledge and ensure they provide professional guidance. You’ll also check the assessment process is applied consistently at all times. With your support, our Trainee Detectives will soon reach Met standards, ensuring we achieve strict performance targets.

We’re looking for skilled professionals with valuable knowledge to share. You should have PIP 2 accreditation or equivalent experience. In the past, you’ve supervised police investigations and created clear, concise reports. You’ve also built up impressive knowledge of criminal law and the criminal justice system. The key is to share this expertise through excellent interpersonal skills. You should be enthusiastic and a fantastic presenter. What’s more, you’ll be organised, methodical and able to meet deadlines. With a full driving licence, you’ll be ready to travel to the location you’re assigned.
